This article considers the important role of standardized requirements for trunk line rails in the context of improving quality, operational reliability and increasing service life in the modern conditions of development of railway transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Additional requirements to rails realized in the new version of standard ST RK 2432-2023 are justified.
