The article discusses the design schemes of devices for studying grain strength under dynamic loads. The main attention is paid to copra, which provide low-speed mechanical impact. Two types of coper are described: pendulum and with a falling load. These studies are important for the development of new methods and devices that provide a more accurate and effective study of grain strength under various mechanical influences. The need to create devices with the highest performance and a large number of repetitions is also emphasized, due to the variation of data caused by the individual moisture content in the grains.
